Iran, Fertilizer, Fuel and Food.

I wanted to share this article regarding the impact of the conflict on fertilizer exports and farming: https://apnews.com/article/iran-war-fertilizer-exports-farming-3b7c92d58dba0817c3aa8f1db47464b7

It seems that any experts paying attention to the intersection of agriculture and the economy should have seen this coming.

Too bad Donnie and his DOGE buddies fired as many experts as he could get away with.

On the brighter side, this is the best example of why we must absolutely start moving as quickly as possible towards the organic and regenerative agriculture styles of production for food, fiber, fodder and even fuel to whatever degrees we can.

We will have to have some fossil fuels and lubricants while we crank up the production of cleaner natural alternatives.

I know the giant agro-industrial complex producers will say that we cannot produce enough food, fiber or fodder without billions of tons of chemicals and poisons.

No matter what the commercial agriculture produces say, in the long term natural and organic systems are less expensive and more productive with less inputs. They don't cause cancer, don't cause giant dead zones in the ocean, or contaminate our water tables.

It can take a few years to make regenerative agriculture more productive than chemical agriculture, but can very soon we have a healthier and more productive system that is not dependent on international supply chains.
